1. What is du Concerns Hotline?
du Concerns Hotline enables employees and related stakeholders with a concern relevant to business to confidentially report possible dishonest and unethical conduct, discrimination or harassment, conflicts of interest and any illegal practices. Du Concerns Hotline (hereafter referred as Hotline) offers a toll-free (from certain countries) telephone number option, a Mailbox option and website for filing reports.

2. What should I do if I suspect, observe, or hear about potentially dishonest and unethical conduct, discrimination or harassment, conflicts of interest and any illegal practices?
Although you may not know for sure if there has been misconduct or unethical behaviour by someone in Management or by a third party associated with Management, you are obligated to raise your concerns regarding potential violations of law or any unethical behavior.
3. But if the potentially illegal or unethical conduct doesn't affect me directly, why should I report it?
For ensuring good corporate governance, which du board member and Management passionately support, employees must raise any concerns and report potential or suspected violations of Management's policies or applicable laws and regulations, which might be in violation of du's code of conduct, and might gravely affect the organization. This may lead to financial, moral or other unfavorable consequences.
You should report any concern you may have regarding potential, wrong doing including - but not limited to concerns in any of the following categories:
- Accounting, auditing and professional practice issues, including accuracy of the company's financial records.
- Fraud, bribery or corruption in any of the business operations related to the organisation
- Procurement fraud
- Discrimination, harassment, substance abuse, threats and other work environment issues
- Unreasonable gifts, meals and entertainment
- Illegal or suspected illegal acts
- Marketing and competitive practices
- Theft or misuse of the company's assets and resources
- Theft or misuse of the company's intellectual property rights
- Cyber security issues

5. What if I am uncomfortable either speaking to my manager or any other channel to communicate my concern, or suspect my manager or others in leadership, may be involved in a violation?
6. Who operates du Concerns Hotline, Email and Website?
A team of independent experienced professionals run and manage this service, and they are in no way involved or affiliated with the day to day business of du Concerns Hotline. This ensures complete confidentiality to anyone who files a report. Anonymity can be claimed and if not will be assumed. The toll free telephone service can be accessed during UAE business hours - 0830 to 1830 from Sunday through to Thursday while email and website can be used to report anytime.
7. What does du do to protect me from retaliation?
The Management and Board believe in not retaliating against anyone who, in good faith, reports a possible violation of its policies, or who participates in an investigation, even if sufficient evidence is not found to substantiate the concern. Management will take appropriate action against any individual engaging in retaliatory conduct. If you feel you have been subject to retaliation because you filed a report you should contact du Concerns Hotline again to report such retaliation against you.
When reporting via du Concerns Hotline, whether via phone, email or website, you may choose to identify yourself. You will be specifically asked during the phone conversation as to whether you wish to be identified and if so, the details. Management requires all hotline reports to be treated confidentially, and will protect your identity to the extent permitted by law, and consistent with the du Concerns Hotline's requirement to investigate and address the reported conduct.
The Hotline is administered by an independent professional team who performs the telephonic interview, ask relevant questions, prepare reports and transmit to the right level of Management. The senior Management are drawn in to review the reports depending on the gravity of the offence reported. Such reports are analyzed and a decision shall be taken with regard to next steps or further course of action.
